Two bomb blasts has reportedly occurred in Kimba area
of Biu local government area (LGA) and Sabon-Ngeri
area of Borno state, killing at least 5 people on Friday,
December 4. The death toll may rise.
The first suicide bombing occurred in Kimba village of
Biu Local Government Area (LGA) at 8:30am, which
reportedly killed two people.
A Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) member from Biu
commented on the attack saying: “A male detonated
a bomb killing an elderly man along with him.”
According to preliminary information, the second attack
that took place at 12pm in Sabon Gari have killed three
people.
This attack is coming a week after a female suicide
bomber detonated her Improvised Explosive Device
(IED) along Maiduguri-Mafa road in the state, killing
eleven people in the process.
The incident was perpetrated by the bomber in her
20s. She detonated a bomb at a crowded area, killing
herself and 10 others.
